Volunteer Trees Cutting Project
Volunteer Tree Cutting Project
Thanks to the help from our Bennet Volunteer Fire Department, we were able to get a lot of the grassy area behind the ranges burned off. Now we need to remove any of the volunteer trees before they take over this area. We are needing as many volunteers as we can to tackle this project. If you are able, please join us as we will be cutting these trees/saplings down, spraying them with Tordon and then removing the trees to a future burn pile. Volunteers should dress in protective clothing, bring work gloves, eye and ear protection, and any chainsaws or cutting utensils. It works best to have three people for every person with a chainsaw and so we are hoping to get much of this tackled so we won't have to close the ranges again for this project. If you are able to help with this project, please contact our Groundskeeper Neil at neil.lunzmann@gmail.com or 402.469.6501.
