Ikes Youth Pond Work Day
A work day has been scheduled for Saturday, February 25th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. to build multiple fish habitat devices for the youth pond. If we get enough help we would also tear out the old decks on the north side of the pond.
We want to get the pond ready for spring rains and allow it to fill as soon as possible. It will be much easier to have these habitats ready to go rather than wish they were done later on.
Tools needed:
Manpower - bring your family.
Drills - either electric or battery powered.
3/4" drill bits and larger including hole saws.
Reciprocating saws - electric or battery powered.
Drill drivers with a variety of driver bits - to disassembly the floating decks. - Battery powered only.
Chain Saw.
Hammer, sledge, nail pullers.
Please meet at the green Rock House just west of the club house.
I don't expect this to take more than 3 hours. The temperature is supposed to be in the high 40's. If you have muck boots you might consider bringing them just in case the pond is a little sticky.
Please email or call Neil so he knows how to plan.
Thank you to all of our volunteers!
